Those Nasty Republicans and Tea Partiers

In Politically Speaking on November 4, 2010 at 7:56 pm

I just have to vent for the next few days or longer…

I knew the Republicans would probably win the House, but I’m not happy about it.  I just hate the smug attitudes of the Repubs and Tea Partiers.  They are so vicious with venom–that includes those legislators, O’Reilly, Beck, The Fox News Channel, and so on.

What do I think of when I hear the words Republican or Tea Party?:

(If you are a Repub or Tea Partier, please don’t be offended if the following characteristics do not apply to you.  I’m talking about the worst representatives of these groups.  And, I’m quite aware that these characteristics fit people who represent other groups as well).

1.They are  nasty and arrogant.

2. They are most likely racist.

3. They don’t give a damn about common, working folk; They’re all ready to repeal the Healthcare Bill.

4. They are holier-than-thou.

5. They are greedy and always looking out for their own pockets; They don’t care about the betterment of others. They are givers only when it is in their best interests (i.e. a tax deduction) or for public accolades.

6.  They like to incite panic and fear.

7. They stick together like a pack of wild dogs–ready to attack at the drop of a hat.

Am I bitter? Yes.  I don’t appreciate the extremely disrespectful attacks that have been made towards President Obama.  Whether or not one agrees with his politics, President Obama certainly does not deserve the horrible comments that have been made about his character.

Only hateful racists could make such dangerously, inappropriate comments.  It is unreal that a public television personality would have the audacity to compare the leader of this nation to Adolph Hitler.

People were not anywhere as nasty to George W.–a man whom allowed thousands of men and women to be killed in a senseless war. And, on top of that, the economy is in a horrible state due to Mr. Bush’s administration. But, so many people seem to have a sudden case of amnesia.

If it were not for racism, President Obama would just be seen as a “poor leader”– which he certainly is not–if that is how someone felt about him. But, people continue to make such mean spirited, personal attacks against a “man” who is trying to make this a better country.

The Obama administration hasn’t done everything perfectly (How many Presidents have?). However, President Obama has already done a lot for this country.

For example, under his administration, there have been great inroads in attempting to provide affordable healthcare to all Americans.  In addition, his efforts to protect consumers from greedy financial institutions must be applauded as well.

In all fairness, change takes time.

So, when evil attacks are made on this man who is trying to get us over the hump, I must remember the source in which the attacks usually come from…racism.

If President Obama were a Caucasian, I do not believe I would be hearing such horribly, ignorant comments.  In fact, I know I wouldn’t be hearing these types of comments. Shame on those ignorant people!!!

I am proud to be an American, but I am not proud of the many Americans who are acting with so much hatred.  It is a sad and embarrassing time for this country.

Surely, people in other countries must be laughing to themselves: “There goes those ignorant Americans…Next, they’ll be electing that Sarah Palin as President…Those big dummies don’t have a clue.”
