Story Snippet by Lee

“I’m thinking of having a little collagen put into my lips,” Mary says puckering her lips, using her spoon as a mirror.  “Don’t you think I could use some?”

Leslie couldn’t help but to laugh.

“What’s so funny?” Mary asked.

“You look funny pouting your lips out like that,” she said, imitating her friend’s protruding lips.

“Seriously,” Mary said as she set the spoon on the table.

“I just don’t get into that whole plastic surgery thing,” Leslie said.  “It’s just not natural.”

“I didn’t say I was getting a face lift or anything.”

“First you get a little collagen.  Then it’ll be Botox,” Leslie said.  “These days, no one is aging naturally.”

“You do have a point,” Mary said.  “The Brady Bunch Lady is almost 80 and she doesn’t look a day over sixty.  And, that Barbara Walters…”

“I just don’t want you walking around with that duckbill look,” Leslie said.

“Duckbill look?”

“Yeah, like that lady on The Housewives,” Leslie said.  “Her upper lip reminds me of a duck’s bill.”

Mary giggled.
